In 1957 Bapak arrived in England with Ibu and young assistants.
After staying briefly in London, he moved to the property at Coombe
Springs, near London, where John Godolphin Bennett was the director
of an institute devoted to the study of Gurdjieff's methods. Coombe
Springs became the base for the spread of Subud in the West.
